Annette Brand, City Administrator, stated that the Finance Director <br />is gathering vendor information which will be available at the <br />April 27 Work Session. She commented that Council had adopted a <br />local purchasing policy which will also be discussed at that Work <br />Session. <br /> <br />Sisk asked for information on City purchases made outside <br />Louisville, why they were made outside Louisville, and what bids <br />were solicited. <br /> <br />Davidson explained that the purpose of the State bid is for <br />government entities to acquire items at the lowest possible price. <br />If the City goes through the bid process again, it will cost the <br />taxpayers. The whole purpose of the State bid is to get a volume <br />price. <br /> <br />Lathrop moved that Council authorize staff to purchase the vehicles <br />listed on the summary sheet (SEE ATTACHED) under the State bid. <br />Seconded by Howard. Roll call was taken. Motion passed by a 7 - <br />0 vote. <br /> <br />OTHER REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS ARISING AFTER PREPARATION OF AGENDA <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Annette Brand, City Administrator, reminded Council of next <br />Wednesday's Work Session with the Boulder County Commissioners <br />catering supper prior to the meeting in the Council Chambers at <br />6:15 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Howard stated that the people living on McCaslin want an update on <br />what's going on with the lights on McCaslin. He had received <br />information that the citizens are putting together a petition for <br />some portion of Louisville's open space being designated as a lease <br />free dog area. <br /> <br />Davidson wanted this brought to a Work Session for further <br />discussion. <br /> <br />Mayer stated that there was a citizen's meeting for the proposed <br />new ballfield complex. There was concerned expressed by downtown <br />citizens about the length of time the lights will be on and use of <br />loud speakers. He asked the Parks & Recreation Director to have a <br />report at the next Work Session about who uses the lights, for what <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br /> <br />
