City Council <br />Study Session Summary <br />April 26, 2016 <br />Page 2 of 6 <br />but they hosted many other events in 2016 serving over 6000 attendees. Goals <br />for next year include additional marketing, making Louisville a greater arts <br />destination, and focusing further on public art. Work continues on the Cultural <br />Arts Master Plan. <br />Lipton thanked the group and noted he was very impressed with the amount and <br />quality of the work the LCC is doing and how well they have leveraged their <br />dollars. <br />Lawrence Anderson noted how great the lineup is for the summer concert series <br />and invited everyone to attend. <br />Maloney liked the new mission statement and thanked the board for committing <br />to this process. He also thanked the board for addressing board burnout. <br />Stolzmann noted the LCC should advise the City Council on any public art at the <br />proposed expanded rec center. <br />Leh noted the LCC has great creativity and they use it for their programming. He <br />noted the LCC should be watching any changes that might be coming in the <br />SCFD funding. <br />Loo asked the LCC if they were interested in doing more events in other <br />locations such as the 2014 event in the Arboretum. <br />Muckle thanked the members for their service. <br />LCC members thanked Suzanne Janssen for her staff support of the board. <br />Sustainability Advisory Board Annual Report <br />Members of the board in attendance: <br />Jamie Bartlett <br />Dan Delahunty <br />Mary Ann Heaney <br />Marianne Martin <br />Mark Persichetti <br />Jamie Bartlett gave the board's presentation noting their primary work has been <br />on the sustainability action plan and working on the community gardens. She <br />added the board would like to do additional marketing and get more public input <br />on the plan. <br />For this upcoming year their goals include finishing the action plan, continued <br />work on the community garden, a green business recognition program, and they <br />plan to ask for a sustainability coordinator position in the 2017 budget. <br />
