He <br />stressed the importance of reducing immigration in this country. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Sisk reported on the success of the Volunteer Appreciation Brunch, and thanked <br />Administrative Assistant Belinda Goebel for making the arrangements. <br /> <br />Brown reported on the May 5, public meeting relative to the St. Andrews traffic <br />congestion problem and the recent measures taken to correct the problem. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION - OLDER AMERICANS MONTH <br /> <br />Davidson proclaimed May 2003, as Older Americans Month in the City of Louisville and <br />presented the proclamation to the Louisville Senior Board Members; Art Symanski, Bill <br />McDermott, Kathy Gibson, Carole Sullivan, Ann Todd, Bill Traugh, and Harriet Olson. <br />President Art Symanski thanked Council on behalf of the Louisville Senior Board. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION - ELLEN GOERING DAY <br /> <br />Davidson proclaimed May 15, 2003 as Ellen Goering Day. After thirty years of service, <br />Goering is retiring from the Boulder Valley School District. She accepted the <br />proclamation and thanked Council. She also recognized members of her Staff. <br /> <br /> <br />
