Angela Medbery, Colorado Pesticide Network, 2205 Meade Street, Denver, Colorado 80211, stated <br />that there are under 1,000 active ingredients in pesticides and over 20,000 formulations. <br />Chlorpyrifos, which was used in this spraying, is normally used to control cockroaches in restaurants <br />and schools, termites, on lawns, and, sometimes, mixed in the fertilizers, fleas and on rugs. She spoke <br />of the many effects of this pesticide. <br /> <br />Katie Bums, 1111 West Enclave Circle, Louisville, Colorado, representing the enclave in Centennial <br />Heights Subdivision, presented a petition in support of the park planned for the area. <br /> <br />Davidson called for any further public comments. <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS <br /> NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Lathrop commented that no more signs had been found in the city's right-of-ways. <br /> <br />Howard thanked all of the volunteers involved in the July 4th celebration. The fireworks display was <br />paid for totally with donations. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION - NATIONAL RECREATION AND PARKS MONTH <br /> <br />Davidson read the proclamation to be delivered July 6. <br /> <br />Steve Baysinger, Parks & Recreation Director, stated that present were representatives from the <br />seven volunteer boards, summer youth employment workers, full time/part time staff, aquatic staff, <br />members of the Senior Board, some of the charter members of Louisville's senior organization, and <br />soccer and T-ball players.
