Maryan and Wendy agreed to revise LCC events report forms <br />to include information from the survey forms so that we can use it. Those event <br />report forms will become even more valuable as people who have run events <br />such as the Coffee House Concerts, the Children's Concerts, the Silent Film <br />Showings, etc. leave the LCC Board. <br />-Maryan wants a protocol established on how to have checks issued in a timely <br />fashion. Wendy pointed out that she is currently out of checks. <br /> <br />IX. City Council update - Don Brown not present. <br /> <br />X. City Staff Update - Kathy Martin and Julie Seydel <br />Kathy Martin reported that the following Board members still need to take City <br />training. There is no record that they have done so. <br />Jim Policita <br />Kathy Policita <br />David Hosansky <br />Julie Kovash <br />Sandra Lilja <br />Julie handed out the calendar for the Arts Center. There was discussion <br />about dates still open for LCC presentations. <br />It was requested that if anyone has the LCC tablecloths from the Arts <br />Center that they return same. <br /> <br />XI. Events Schedule Update <br />Julie indicated that the Events Schedule had been distributed electronically. <br /> <br />XII. Public Relations Update - Julie Kovash and Davis Hosansky absent <br /> <br />XIII. New Arts Center Update - Don Atwood <br />Don reported that the New Arts Center Steering Committee (SC) had met with <br />the family which owns the grain elevator and adjacent property, as well as the <br />downtown post office property. It is clear that family has not reached an accord <br />on the grain elevator property, and that the USPS will continue to lease the post <br />office property. The SC is exploring other options. More details are in the minutes <br />of the Monday, August 13, 2007 minutes of the SC meeting on that date. <br /> <br />XIV. Sponsorships - Kathy Policita <br />Kathy absent. Maryan made the point that we need to keep asking for donations <br />at all events. <br /> <br />XV. Brainstorming <br />Maryan suggested a talent show, which might entrain youth. Youth could be <br />considered an underserved population. Don cautioned against doing such as it <br />could be read as a direct competition with the Coal Creek Community Theatre <br />(CCCT), which already conducts a huge, adjudicated talent show each year.
