Joint offerings and programming may provide better services. <br /> <br />Sharing of passes for golf courses was discussed. <br /> <br />Transportation Issues <br /> Lafayette has a mill levy on the November ballot, which, if passed, would <br />allow every resident to get an EcoPass. It is a pilot program which can be <br />evaluated in 6 years. can take <br />public transportation <br />place of work (ie: CTC) <br /> <br />Affordable housing <br /> Planning and Building Safety Director Rob Zuccaro said the Kestral <br />affordable housing project is under construction and permits have been <br />issued. It will serve both senior and families. <br /> the next Josephine Commons-type <br />project. <br />Both these projects will not solve the affordable housing problem. There <br />was discussion of affordable housing. <br /> <br />Lafayette pursue Broadband/SB152 Exemption on Ballot <br /> Lafayette is putting it on the ballot. <br /> Lafayette is not yet looking at broadband citywide. <br /> <br />Other <br />Council member Lipton said Lafayette is a great neighbor and collaboration is <br />excellent. <br />Sustainability and composting were discussed. <br /> <br />Discussion Golf Course Financials and Golf Course Advisory Board Role <br />Chair Gambon stated that the Golf Course Advisory Board is presenting its draft <br />strategic plan and introduced Steve Lembke who owns the Sweet Spot Café. <br /> <br />Mr. Lembke stated that sales have increased since February 2016 and he <br />expects a good winter season due to marketing, specials and a new menu. The <br />Sweet Spot Café has catered 41 events since opening. He added that seating is <br />an ongoing issue as the clubhouse can only accommodate 65. The pavilion has <br />potential as it could seat up to 120. <br /> <br />Chair Gambon said that Council asked the Golf Course Advisory Board to <br />establish its strategic direction. The Advisory Board has since completed a draft <br />strategic plan that addresses how the golf course can maintain the new <br />infrastructure that has been installed. <br /> <br /> <br />
