It is a pilot program which can be evaluated in 6 years. can take public transportation place of work (ie: CTC) Affordable housing Planning and Building Safety Director Rob Zuccaro said the Kestral affordable housing project is under construction and permits have been issued. It will serve both senior and families. the next Josephine Commons-type project. Both these projects will not solve the affordable housing problem. There was discussion of affordable housing. Lafayette pursue Broadband/SB152 Exemption on Ballot Lafayette is putting it on the ballot. Lafayette is not yet looking at broadband citywide. Other Council member Lipton said Lafayette is a great neighbor and collaboration is excellent. Sustainability and composting were discussed. Discussion Golf Course Financials and Golf Course Advisory Board Role Chair Gambon stated that the Golf Course Advisory Board is presenting its draft strategic plan and introduced Steve Lembke who owns the Sweet Spot Café. Mr. Lembke stated that sales have increased since February 2016 and he expects a good winter season due to marketing, specials and a new menu. The Sweet Spot Café has catered 41 events since opening. He added that seating is an ongoing issue as the clubhouse can only accommodate 65. The pavilion has potential as it could seat up to 120. Chair Gambon said that Council asked the Golf Course Advisory Board to establish its strategic direction. The Advisory Board has since completed a draft strategic plan that addresses how the golf course can maintain the new infrastructure that has been installed.
