Louisville <br />COLORADO • S1NC N ; <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br />AGENDA ITEM 111 <br />SUBJECT: <br />DATE: <br />SPECIAL EVENTS 2016 RECAP <br />SEPTEMBER 13, 2016 <br />PRESENTED BY: MEREDYTH MUTH, CITY CLERK <br />SUMMARY: <br />In October, the City Council gave direction to staff regarding possible changes to the <br />special event permit process. With that direction staff made the following modifications <br />to the special event permitting process for 2016: <br />Increased special event permit fee to $400 (from $200) <br />A mandatory $500 damage deposit <br />Limited the number of events with over 250 participants at Community Park to 15 <br />Limited amplified sound at Community Park to shorter hours <br />These changes were in addition to the specific requirements for permitting already in <br />place. These include items such as: <br />Fees for Police presence <br />Event notification for surrounding or affected neighbors <br />A medical plan approved by the Fire District <br />Additional portolets and trash service <br />Approved traffic control plan with required barricades and staffing for street <br />closures <br />Site plans <br />General rules and regulations <br />Insurance requirements <br />If these changes affected 2016 permit numbers or not it is hard to tell.
