Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 28, 2016 <br />Page 4of4 <br />Keany says after the November 2016 election. <br />Koertje says the ballot issue needs to be submitted to CC before June 2017 for the November ballot. <br />Keany says this discussion item should come before CC in April or May. We will need an attorney to <br />draft the ballot language. <br />Mellish says the polling numbers say that this is well received. One poll was of citizens and one poll <br />was at the Rec Center where other questions were asked. <br />Elrod says the next Historical Commission is before the November election day. The next meeting is in <br />January 2017. <br />Mellish says this timeline makes sense to me. <br />Keany says I think the HPF tax will pass easily. What Louisville is doing is very unique in historic <br />preservation and was strongly supported by the public. There are also residents who have used the <br />HPF program and can speak positively about their experiences. <br />Chuck Thomas says from my historic preservation experience, Louisville's•r•.ram is totally unique. <br />Mellish thanks everyone for your comments and effort. <br />Adjourn: <br />Mellish makes a motion to adjourn.
