Pat Hornbostel, 655 West Howthorn Street, Louisville, Colorado, stated that in '87 he had been at <br />a meeting like this and they discussed how much each house cost the School District to provide <br />schools for, which is about $9,000. He stated that Mr. Hoyt did not feel he had any responsibility for <br />that. He stated that for every house built there are about $50,000 of government costs involved. <br />Louisville recovers for their water, sewer, parks, etc., but the School District doesn't collect their <br />$9,000. He stated that educational opportunities are decreased for each child in Louisville every time <br />more people are added. He asked Council to make the density the least that it can. <br /> <br />Jim Cummings, 795 West Pinyon Way, Louisville, Colorado, felt the R-E zoning should be followed. <br />He did not feel it met Special Review Use. He stated that this project will have a definite long term <br />negative impact on Louisville and its citizens. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Council questions and comments. <br /> <br />Sisk stated that on this development the number of units that were indicated was 1,432 and McStain <br />was using 1,596. <br /> <br />Kottke stated that the latest amendment, when they related to the number of building permits, <br />contained the number 1,596. <br /> <br />Sisk wondered if that was an inaccurate number. <br /> <br />Kottke stated that in Centennial II they were not proposing more than 162. The total of what would <br />be built, if this project were built at 162 units, would be less than 1,432 units. He felt the difference <br />in numbers had to do with which parts were included in the planning area as it was amended. Plus, <br />the number kept going down as this master plan got amended to this date. <br /> <br />Sisk wondered if there was an agreement that had been made previously for McStain to use the <br />access through city property. <br /> <br />Hoyt: <br /> <br />No. What there is, is a four-lane highway with <br />decel/excel lanes that was clearly contemplated to use <br />this as an access point. When we put the plan <br />together, we actually spent quite a bit of time on this <br />issue with Public Works, the neighborhood, and <br />everybody else. As everybody looked at it, it made a <br />whole lot more sense to put this project, no matter <br />what it was, on Via Appia, where the provision <br />already was. The city wanted to complete a pedestrian <br />bicycle/transportation link, which we were providing <br />here as an off-set to that. <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br /> <br />
