Historic Preservation Commission
Meeting Minutes
December 19, 2016
Page6of6
Fahey says the HPC will continue with Farmer's Market and putting historic structure houses in
the DBA newsletter. We will try to get into the Chamber's monthly blast. I would like to
encourage getting information to particular neighborhoods.
Trice says I did an architecture tour with 4th and 5th grade students from Louisville Elementary
School. The chaperones and parents were fascinated and want their own tour. We might want
to look into this, particularly in the historic districts.
Fahey says the 2nd grade students do a tour in the fall of the Museum. We could give them a
copy of the walking tour to bring home to their parents.
Stewart says we need good handout material.
Chuck Thomas mentions the revolving loan fund. I have heard no est in it. Perhaps we
need to do some outreach because it could be a significant tool i mployed correctly.
Updates from Staff:
Upcoming Schedule/Saving Places Conferen
December
23rd — Early Bird Registration Deadline CPI Places Confere
January
9th — Training with City Attorney, 5:30pm, Spruce Room
Stn (2nd Monday) — Historic Preservation Commission Meeting, 6:30pm, Council
Chambers
February
1st -4th— CPI Saving Places Conference, Denver
13th (2nd Monday) — Historic Preservation Commission Meeting, 6:30pm, Council
Chambers
Save the Date — Saturday, May 20th — Boulder Country Preservation Forum
Award Ceremony
Update on APA Colorado Award Ceremony.
