Lathrop:

Mayer:

Lathrop:

Sisk:

Lathrop:

agreement to the Jefferson County
Attorney, who is preparing the
agreement. All of those suggestions
were incorporated into the final
document and I can approve this
document as to form.

The Rocky Flats Local Impact
Initiative, which is becoming the
formal name, is broken up into
several different divisions to try
to get concrete action going as far
as investigating and recognizing the
impacts of a work force reduction at
Rocky Flats. The Department of
Energy is evaluating a grant
proposal to the Initiative to
provide funding, to have
professionals to manage the study
group, to come up with
recommendations, and concrete work
plans to help alleviate the impacts
of the work force reduction. I
think it is imperative that
Louisville be a part of that through
this IGA and I hope it will be
supported.

I see all of the funding is
voluntary. How does the Task Force
intend to carry on its work? What
funding sources does it feel it can
rely upon?

Up to now the majority of the
funding has been provided in kind
through Jefferson County. It has
been their staff, copy machine, FAX
machine, and their personnel
conducting the meetings. EG&G has
been doing the same thing with their
facilities and people. If there
were to be a need for voluntary
contributions, that would be
transmitted to this Council for any
consideration.

Is there a reason that Lafayette is
excluded from the IGA?

Lafayette participated initially.
Why they are not participating now,

10
