They have had preliminary
discussions with the representatives of the A-1 Ambulance Company,
who they do have a contract with for ambulance services, to
possibly enter into a joint venture agreement or a transfer
agreement for their use of part of the remaining two acres of
property. Included in some of those discussions was possible use
of that facility for administrative space for the Fire Protection
District, a larger Hearing Room, Meeting Room, etc. The issue of
the "reverter" clause, which the city included in the Deed, which
restricted that use of the property to emergency rescue services,
to include a training facility. Before the Fire Protection
District got into discussions and negotiations with the Ambulance
Co. we wanted to bring that to Council's attention to see if they
could get the Council's position as to whether or not that would be
a problem with Council on the City's behalf on the existing
"reverter" clause.

Howard inquired if the reason they were looking into having A-1
Ambulance at the site was because it will decrease the time it
takes to provide service. Will this detract from the site that's
currently in Louisville?
