Don Shonkwiler, Homart Development, 400 South McCaslin, stated that
this agreement requires considerably more consideration on
Council's part. He sees absolutely no benefit to the City of
Louisville, or Homart, or the Centennial Valley.

Davidson called for Council comments.

Lathrop:

Before I would entertain an
agreement of this magnitude, I would
like to have more time, input from
all of the various facets of the
City as to what this really means,
and the implications to the various
groups and individuals, so that I
might better understand what all
this might mean.

Mayer:

In my reading of the document, the
$.42.5 per thousand gallons. Is
that roughly the actual cost of
treating the water or how was that
arrived at?

Phare:

That was calculated using the Plant
operations expense.

Mayer:

Phare:

Is that the cost of providing an
additional million gallons?

No.

Mayer:

Louisville is getting something from
this on the gallonage cost. Would
you be able to state how much that
might be?

Phare:

Not at this time.

Hornbostel:

Phare:

Hypothetically, if something should
happen where we do this agreement,
Superior has 20% of the capacity of
this plant and at some point
Superior's needs are growing faster,
Louisville has at the same time
simultaneous needs, we would still
have to provide them with the
capacity of the plant even though we
had competing needs, right?

Our commitment is for one million
gallons per year for the next eight
years.

14
