Revitalization Commission <br />Minutes <br />January 9, 2017 <br />Page 2of4 <br />Reports of Commission <br />At Council's December 20th meeting there was some opposition to LRC funding a <br />parking study, however the 2017 LRC budget was approved. Economic Development <br />DeJong intends to have a draft RFP available for parking study soon. <br />Business Matters of Commission <br />OPEN GOVERNMENT PACKET <br />Frist meeting of every year, the Open Government packet must be include in each board <br />and commission packet. The LRC follow City Charter rules. DeJong asked <br />Commissioners to review document. City Manager Fleming said it describes strong <br />ethics policy of City and encouraged everyone to read it. <br />APPROVAL OF MEETING LOCATION AND POSTING REQUIREMENTS <br />Under state law the LRC is required to notify the public of posting locations. <br />City Attorney Light asked for motion to approve posting locations: City Hall, <br />Recreation Center, Police Department, Library and City Website <br />Steve Fischer made a motion approving posting locations, Menaker seconded. <br />All in favor. <br />ELECTION OF OFFICERS <br />CHAIR <br />Vice Chair Lathrop declined to be nominated for Chair. He said it is a worthwhile <br />development experience and encouraged members to consider the position. <br />Commissioner Menaker nominated Commissioner Steve Fisher. Seconded by <br />Commissioner Gorsevski. <br />(Commissioners took a moment to introduce themselves to new Commissioner <br />Lebek.) <br />VICE CHAIR <br />Commissioner Menaker nominated Vice Chair Lathrop <br />SECRETARY <br />Alex Gorsevski <br />All in favor. <br />WAYFINDING PROGRAM — LAUREN TRICE <br />Planner II Lauren Trice gave an overview of the Wayfinding Program. <br />Trice asked the LRC for comments on location and design. <br />Commissioner Gorsevski commented on the location of the sign coming in from <br />US36. Director Zuccaro said these locations are conceptual. <br />Planning is hopeful money left in 2016 budget will be rolled over to 2017. <br />Commissioner Menaker is concerned about scale and would like to see a mock <br />up. <br />
