June visitors: 234, including a tour for Louisville Preschool Summer Camp <br />focusing on the Louisville Depot building <br />2. Year to date: 724 <br />D. Activity Report <br />1. Second quarter sales taxes were based on total sales of $1,727, with <br />$1,095 from memberships and the remainder from sales. <br />2. Oral history tapes are in the process of being transferred to CDs at <br />Memories to Digital, as was previously approved by the Commission. Two <br />CDs of each audio tape are being ordered: one for long term preservation <br />and one that can be listened to at the Museum. The Commission is being <br />given a 20% discount on duplication and a 50% discount on the second <br />copy. <br />3. Sally Burlingame volunteered to assist at the Museum from 11 to 1 on <br />Saturday, August 2nd. <br />4. Avista Hospital will sponsor and cover the $267 cost for the reprinting of 1,000 <br />Downtown Walking Tour brochures. <br />E. The Summer 2008 issue of the Louisville Historian is being prepared for <br />printing. <br /> <br />X. Committee Reports <br />A. Facility Management <br />1. A third bid is needed for all maintenance projects. <br />2. Painting needs will be addressed after maintenance projects. <br />3. Fencing will be placed after landscaping is completed. <br />4. Landscaping plaques are being ordered. <br />B. Community Education - Oral History Project Update: Bridget Bacon and <br />Diane Marino are researching recommended methods of conducting oral <br />history interviews and will share results with the Community Education <br />Committee. Forms such as the Museum's permission form will be reviewed. <br />
