Meeting between the Board of Commissioners of the Louisville housing Authority and the <br />Louisville City Council tentatively scheduled on Tuesday, March l 1"', 2008 <br />Council wants to stay in touch with boards and meet every year. LI-IA will need to give a brief <br />report from 2007 and a 2008 work plan. "This meeting gives Council a chance to listen to board. <br />We need to include plans for South Boulder road property. What could be done with the <br />property? I,IIA board will spend most of-l~cbniary board meeting in preparation for meeting. <br />Some information needed to present at the meeting: Financial, occupancy %, description of <br />properties, projects, locations, our rents vs. market rate, population served, BCHA stale-role and <br />board role. <br />Property Management/Maintenance 12ep~ort <br />Rent and Occupancy Update/ Monthly Rental Vacancy Report <br />Lydia Morgan had a vacancy that was rented before vacant. One other Lydia vacancv that is <br />already filled. Lilac #6 upcoming vacancy. Unit already has a lot of interest and will go quickly. <br />Acme #4 f~Iead of household passed away, already rented. <br />Maintenance Report <br />Broken pipe at accessible unit at Sunnyside in B building. Sprinkler system pipes in attic that <br />froze and burst. Alarm went off and maintenance was out and turned water off in ] 0 mimites. <br />Safe Systems notification went off and fire department was notified. It was reported by the <br />residents that the fire department responded within 20 minutes. Stall is receiving bids on <br />draining water from the pipes and replacing with a glycol system. Only iss~ic in this building <br />because attic is not heated. Believe it has never happened before because previous tenant kept <br />heat at higher temperature. "there was too little damage to i71e insurance claim. No damage <br />other than rug and sheet rock. Use reserves to cover cost of damage. <br />How will we notify board of emergencies in the future? It is important that board knows of anv <br />emergencies. Crime or serious damage to property or liability issue then board should be <br />notified. <br />Some options are: Phone call to chair or email or send an emergency response text message to <br />board cell phones. "Then, send a final email later by next business day with a more detailed <br />description. Board does want to be notified. Susan Grutzmacher will be collecting cell phone <br />numbers. <br />Section 8: HCV Pro ram Report <br />Monthly statistics <br />See packet for report.
