Library Board of Trustees
Minutes: March 20, 2008

B. Update on Town of Superior Financial Participation

Anne reported that there had been no recent meeting but the City's task force
members-Kevin Watson, Director of Finance; Malcolm Fleming, City Manager; Heather
Balser, Asst. City Manager; and Anne-were continuing to gather information for the
next meeting. An agreement for 2009 has to be reached by the end of June 2008.

Anne also reported that Superior Town Manager Scott Randall had approached the City
of Broomfield to investigate whether Broomfield could offer a better financial
arrangement than that proposed by Louisville.

The Broomfield Library Director and the Assistant City/County Manager met with Scott
who was informed that costs for library services from Broomfield would be similar to
Louisville's proposal. This was not Superior's first attempt to work out a deal with
Broomfield, but Broomfield City/County staff members noted that they weren't
interested in the proposal nor would they undermine Louisville's efforts to obtain fair
payment for library services from the Town of Superior

10.
