Advice sought on donations of other artifacts being offered: Advice on <br />possible future donations was not needed this month. <br />C. Museum Coordinator's written report: No additional information to add <br />from written report. <br />D. Presentation to City Council for Approval of Museum Master Plan: <br />Commission Members were encouraged to attend the City Council meeting <br />for the presentation of the Museum Master Plan. Commission Chair Dan <br />Mellish and Bridget Bacon will be presenting the Master Plan for City <br />Council's approval. <br />E. Updates on recent developments relating to Museum campus plans and <br />funding: <br />i. Status report on Historic Structure Assessments to be completed <br />on the Museum buildings: Bridget reported that the City's Historic <br />Preservation Fund will pay for these HSAs and that the City's <br />selection committee chose one of the bids submitted from <br />architects. The architect has been notified and the contract will be <br />signed soon. The process is expected to take about three months <br />once it begins. <br />ii. Budget update for Museum capital funding request and <br />anticipation of RFP for consultant services in 2017: <br />The City has approved $49,000, which would be used to hire a <br />consultant for conceptual design services and related services with <br />respect to a new building and to do some polling. At this point, a <br />draft is being made for seeking proposals. <br />iii. Designation of Historical Commission representative to meet with <br />the RFP working group: Nancy Allen was selected as the <br />representative and Julie VanLaanen as an alternate. <br />XI. Chairperson's Report: There was no Chairperson's report. <br />XII. Pioneer Award update: The new Commission members were informed about the <br />Commissions Pioneer Award, which is given to individuals who have contributed to <br />Louisville.
