CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO NOTICE OF INTENT TO REQUIRE CITY RESIDENTS TO USE SELECTED WASTE DISPOSAL SERVICES OR PAY A FEE FOR SUCH SERVICES Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statutes Section 30-15-401(7.5)(b), notice is hereby given that the City of Louisville, Colorado (the "City"), intends, on and after February 1, 2009, to enter into a contract with one or more waste disposal companies to provide non-exclusive waste disposal services, including recycling services, for all residents of the City. Notice is also hereby given that the City further intends, on and after such date, to require use of or to commence the imposition of a fee for such services, as and to the extent permitted by law. Therefore, from and after such date, all residents of the City will be required to use such selected waste disposal services, including recycling services, or such residents will be required to pay an additional fee to the City for use of alternative service, as and to the extent permitted by law. This requirement applies to all residents of the City who use or require the use of a waste disposal and recycling services within the boundaries of the City, except for such exemptions and limitations as are provided by law. The area subject to this notice includes 1;he entire incorporated area of the City of Louisville. Any person may, within thirty days following this publication or receipt of this notice, request in writing the opportunity to submit a proposal to provide waste disposal services, including recycling services, to the City. Such a request shall be filed with the City of Louisville, Department of Public Works, 749 Main Street, Louisville, Colorado, 80027. A request for an opportunity to submit a proposal shall suspend required use of the services or imposition of the waste services fee until a request for proposal process, as set forth in C.R.S. section 30-15- 401(7.5)(c) is completed. Any person who has requested in writing an opportunity to submit a proposal to provide waste disposal services, including recycling services, is eligible to participate in the proposal process. If no written request is received by the City within the time permitted, the City will proceed to require use of, or impose a fc;e for, residential waste disposal and recycling services from and after the date set forth above.
