SUBJECT: DISCUSSION -BUILDING CODE BOARD OF APPEALS -GREEN <br />BUILDING <br />DATE: JUNE 24, 2008 <br />just recently adopted their Build Smart program. Longmont adopted their green points program <br />in early 2008. Broomfield is currently workiing on a draft similar to the National Association of <br />Home Builders Guidelines. The Home Builders Association of Metro Denver has had their Built <br />Green Colorado program in place since 1955. Currently, all surrounding jurisdictions have only <br />residential green building programs. <br />CURRENT PROGRAMS: All program components and point categories are in the specific <br />jurisdiction's format as adopted. <br />City of Louisville <br />The 2003 International Energy Conservation Code along with the complete set of 2003 <br />International Building Codes is currently adopted and is being enforced. There is no Green <br />program currently adopted. <br />Boulder County <br />Build Smart <br />Type: This is a mandated, including HERS, and voluntary program. <br />Components of the program: <br />Mandatory Elements <br />1.
