dry scaped. That outlot along there
is hooked onto the total greenbelt
area and it was thought that the
City would want that dry scaped due
to maintenance cost.

Sisk:

Is the adjoining open space dry
scaped?

Fraker:

There is only 6 in. on each side of
the walk and at the present time
it's just dirt.

Sisk:

If the City would agree to a
landscape, I take it that the
developers would agree to that as
well?

Neil Wall, The Meadows at Coal Creek Corporation, stated that the
more shrubbery, etc. that was put along that open space, the
greater the danger for the children. It would become a playground,
instead of just a path through there.

Sisk:

I'm afraid it's going to become
weeds, which is even more unsightly.
Wasn't the figure for capping the
gas well $250,000.00?

Fraker:

At first they said they would not
sell the gas well. After several
months of negotiation, they said
they would sell it for $250,000.00.
After further negotiation, we got
them down to the present
$110,000.00.

Sisk:

If we stay with ten (10) feet, I
would like to see that landscaped.
If the City has to take care of it,
then we'll take care of it. It's
important to have a good visual
presentation.

Fraker:

I have no problem with that. We've
spent a lot of money to provide
removal of the gas well and for the
bike path. We're spending $160 -
$170,000.00, which is more than the
12% "cash in lieu of". If we need
some trees or scrubs along there,
that's fine. But, we were led to
believe that it would make it more

8
