The hearing was originally
scheduled for the September 1, 1992, meeting and was opened on that
date. He stated that it was then continued until today, since the
applicant was not present and as a reminder, the neighborhood
boundaries have been set as the current boundaries of the City of
Louisville and the complete application has been made a part of the
record of this proceeding. He explained that the only issues in a
change of location are the reasonable requirements of the
neighborhood to which the applicant seeks to change its location
and the desires of the adult inhabitants of the neighborhood. The
character of the applicant is not an issue.

Tim Camps, Adjutant for Walter Rhodes American Legion Post #111,
stated that they are asking for a change in location, moving from
a residential area into a commercial zoned area. There is only one
resident adjacent to the rear of their new building. They feel
that by changing their location, they are helping eliminate
problems that they caused in the old residential community, such as
excess parking and crowding. In their new location there is more
parking. They hope there new location will better serve the
community, including being used for weddings, banquets, etc. They
have increased the size of their club four (4) fold in sq. ft.,
plus a basement of half that square footage. He stated that they
are here to serve the community.

Davidson asked if any interested party in the audience had any
questions of the applicant.

NONE

Davidson asked if any member of the Liquor Authority had any
questions of the applicant.

16
