Youth Advisory Board
Meeting Minutes
3/2/17
Preparation for City Council Presentation- The Youth Advisory Board has
agreed on doing a slideshow to present to the City Council and Hayley Obremski
has agreed to do the slideshow.
Walkability Project- The Walkability Project is almost finalized with a few details
needed we have decided on the final colors for the signs being green for Harper
Lake, and other "nature" walks, red for a "bite to eat", blue for the Rec Center and
Memory Square, purple for Historical Museum and Library. As a board we have
also decided to add a little description about the Youth Advisory board and how
long the signs will be up for. Also, the idea of stickers marking the boards came
up so we decided to put YAB stickers in the corner of the side and it will say the
date of how long the signs will be up for.
Other Boards and Commissions- Hayley Obremski and Courtney Schumann
went to the City Council meeting and they heard about the Airbnb app and how
they are impacting our neighborhoods. Megan Beasley went to the City Council
meeting and she said it was amazing how much of the community came to spoke
and talked about their thoughts.
Discussion Items for Next Meeting- Photos of where the signs should be
placed are needed! Also, we will be working on the City Council presentation.
Comments from Liaisons- none.
Adjourn — The meeting was adjourned at 7:23.
