Wilson:

Sisk:

Wilson:

The Homebuilder's Association is a
non-profit trade organization. Our
income is partially from dues paid
by members and partially from the
Parade of Homes, which we sponsor.

What are the dues that McStain would
pay to your organization?

Any builder pays about a $350.00
annually. Then, they pay on a
permit basis.

Sisk:

Then, part of the permit fees that
they pass along to their consumers
goes to the Homebuilder's
Association?

Wilson:

That's correct.

Sisk:

How much is that from each house?

Wilson:
Sisk:

Wilson:

It's in the neighborhood of $20.00.

Suffice it to say that this non-
profit corporation pays your salary
and other people.

That's correct. We have eight
people on staff that are full time
employees.

Sisk:

Part of the Homebuilder's
Association function is to lobby
City Councils, Legislatures, or
County Commissioners, or whomever,
in terms of presenting the best
evidence for the Homebuilder's
Association.

Wilson:

That is true.

Sisk:

To the best of your knowledge has
the Homebuilder's Association, in
the last couple of years, gone in
and actually supported service
impact fees?

Wilson:

The Homebuilder's Association has
proposed legislation that would
enable communities, by law, to
charge service expansion fees based

4
