Louisville City Council Meeting
January 6, 2004

Approval of Bills
Approval of Minutes (12/16/03)
Award Bid to H & H Data Services for the Police and Municipal Court
Building Structured Cabling System
Resolution No. 1, Series 2004-A Resolution Establishing a Library
Task Force to Provide Advisory Recommendations with Respect to the
Construction of the New City of Louisville Library
Designation of Places for Posting of Notice of Public Meetings

PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA

Kellen Miller, 865 St. Andrews Lane, Louisville, CO, a Monarch High School student,
voiced his concern over the West Nile Virus and explained two of his close friends were
infected with the West Nile Virus last year. He noted last summer various parts of the
City were sprayed to reduce the spread of the virus. He thanked Council and asked that
preventative measures be taken for the upcoming summer.

Gennie Mereland, 118 Cherry Wood Lane, Louisville, CO, also a student at Monarch
High School, addressed the issue of lights and bleachers for the Monarch football field.
She explained games must be played during the day or at Centaums High School and the
marching band must practice at 6:00 a.m. due to the lack of lighting. She noted the
existing bleachers only have a seating capacity of 100. She asked Council to consider
assisting in the purchase of lights and additional bleachers.

Mayor Pro Sisk explained the City had a school tax, which was tendered to the Boulder
Valley School District for upgrades to the various Louisville schools. He noted the City
is forwarding $300,000 to the school district for installation of an artificial surface field.
He stated the school tax ended in December of 2003, and the voters failed to renew the
tax. He was hopeful the City of Louisville, the Town of Superior and the Boulder Valley
School District could work together to get lighting and bleachers at Monarch.

COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON
THE AGENDA

None.

REGULAR BUSINESS

RECOGNITION OF MAYOR TOM DAVIDSON

Mayor Pro Tem Sisk recognized Mayor Tom Davidson for his contributions to the City
of Louisville, Boulder County and the State of Colorado.
