Cityot <br />im Louisville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />BUSINESS RETENTION AND <br />DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE <br />SUBJECT: <br />DATE: <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT UPDATE <br />JUNE 5,2017 <br />PRESENTED BY: AARON DEJONG, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />New Parking Improvement Fees Set <br />City Council on May 16th set new rates for the downtown Parking Improvement Fee. <br />The fee rates increase over time as follows: <br />Year Rate <br />2017 $13,388 <br />2018 $15,759 <br />2019 $18,261 <br />2020 $20,898 <br />Annually After 2020, the fee shall increase annually <br />each January 1 by three percent (3.0%) <br />City Council added a condition allowing already approved projects prior to June 1, 2017 <br />can utilize the previous amount of $3,600 if the project pulls a building permit prior to the <br />end of 2017. Attached is the executed resolution setting the new fees. <br />Colorado Therapeutics moving to CTC <br />Colorado Therapeutics recently signed a lease for 33,600 square feet at 486 S. Pierce <br />in the Colorado Technology Center. They join Solid Power Inc. as the first two tenants <br />to fill the spec building by Communale Properties. The building has approximately <br />9,000 square feet remaining for lease. <br />Organic Sandwich Company coming to Centennial Valley <br />The second location for Boulder's Organic Sandwich Company will be at 469 McCaslin <br />Boulevard, the former location of BlueBox Doughnuts. The quick casual sandwich shop <br />will be a welcome addition to Louisville's largest commercial and retail area. <br />Noise Ordinance for Louisville <br />The City Council's legal committee reviewed a draft noise ordinance setting noise levels <br />for residential, commercial and industrial zoned areas. Some downtown businesses <br />spoke in opposition to having noise regulations while some residents spoke in favor of <br />having rules in place to better enforce high sound levels. The full City Council is <br />scheduled to discuss the ordinance at their July 18, 2017 meeting. <br />
