Local Licensing Authority
Minutes
June 26, 2017
Authority Business
A. Public Hearing — Main Street Tacos LLC d/b/a Main Street Tacos -
Hotel and Restaurant Liquor License — 701 Main Street
Machado opened the public hearing on the hotel and restaurant liquor license
application. Secretary Hanson stated the application was complete and included
in the Authority packet. Background checks were conducted and only the
criminal history reported on the individual histories was discovered. The hearing
had been posted and published in accordance with state law. There was no
reason found to require denial of the application.
Acting Chairperson Machado called for any member disclosures. Tom
Tennessen reported he knows one of the applicants, Patrick Walsh, well but did
not believe it would affect his decision making.
Machado moved the city limits of the City of Louisville be the boundaries of the
neighborhood. Tennessen seconded. All in favor.
Machado called for any objections to the boundaries of the neighborhood being
the current city limits of the City of Louisville. Hearing no objections, he moved
the entire application be made a part of the record of this hearing. Hervey
seconded. All in favor.
Machado called for an applicant presentation.
Patrick Walsh, 1315 Lambert Circle Lafayette CO, Jesse Gossett 8000 Uptown
Avenue Broomfield, CO and Mike Boselli 5338 Spotted Horse Trail Boulder, CO
introduced themselves and took the oath.
Mr. Walsh said they have changed the concept a little from the time the
application was submitted. They are going to do a Cuban restaurant. They want
to beautify the patio and open up the inside of the restaurant for more seating.
They hope to open in about a month and a half and are starting the hiring
process. Mr. Walsh explained the liquor license violation reported on the
application. He noted it was a newly hired employee who served when she
should not have done so. The restaurant now provides on-site training and takes
alcohol service very seriously.
Jesse Gossett reported on the violation listed for the restaurant he and Mr.
Boselli own. They took it seriously and instituted new training and procedures.
Mr. Walsh was asked if he was the registered manager at any of the other
restaurants he is a part of. He responded no. He was asked about how long ago
the reported criminal history happened. He stated it was about 20 years ago.
