Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />June 16, 2008 <br />Page 5 of 5 <br />Update on Demolition Requests - 824 South Place, public hearing set 7/21/08 <br />Muth reported that the subcommittee that reviewed a demolition request for 824 South <br />Place and placed a stay on the request to hold a public hearing. The hearing has been <br />scheduled for July 21St <br />Muth added that a second demolition review is currently underway and if a hearing is <br />needed, it too will be held on July 21St <br />Comments on Planning Department Referrals -None <br />Updates (time permitting) <br />• 836 & 844 Main Street - No Update <br />• 1024 LaFarge Avenue - No Update <br />• Ms. Downer's Cabins - No Update <br />• Mine Marker Program -See above <br />• "Why Preserve" & "Build Green" Pamphlets -See above <br />Items from Staff <br />• July 1 Water Treatment Plant Discussion at City Council Meeting <br />Muth stated that final decision on the water plant is currently scheduled for the <br />July 1 City Council meeting. <br />• July 21 Meeting, Comprehensive Plan Update <br />Muth reported that the July 21 agenda will include a significant portion of time <br />dedicated to the 2008 Comprehensive Plan Update. Planning staff will be at the <br />meeting to get input on the update from the HPC. <br />• August 18 -CLG Visit/Review <br />Muth reported that Dan Corson from the Colorado Historical Society will be <br />attending the August 18 meeting to review how the Commission handles a public <br />hearing and to review our records. This is a standard process for all Certified <br />Local Governments and must be done to keep our standing as a CLG. <br />• 2008 Annual CLG Report Due August 1 -Need Member Resumes <br />Muth stated that the 2008 CLG report is due August 1 and she needs members' <br />resumes to include in the report. <br />Items from Commission Members -Possible Joint Meeting with Historic Boulder <br />Koertje had no new information on a possible meeting. <br />Adjourn -The meeting adjourned at 9:15 PM. <br />
