Historic Preservation Commission Meeting Minutes June 16, 2008 Page 5 of 5 Update on Demolition Requests - 824 South Place, public hearing set 7/21/08 Muth reported that the subcommittee that reviewed a demolition request for 824 South Place and placed a stay on the request to hold a public hearing. The hearing has been scheduled for July 21St Muth added that a second demolition review is currently underway and if a hearing is needed, it too will be held on July 21St Comments on Planning Department Referrals -None Updates (time permitting) • 836 & 844 Main Street - No Update • 1024 LaFarge Avenue - No Update • Ms. Downer's Cabins - No Update • Mine Marker Program -See above • "Why Preserve" & "Build Green" Pamphlets -See above Items from Staff • July 1 Water Treatment Plant Discussion at City Council Meeting Muth stated that final decision on the water plant is currently scheduled for the July 1 City Council meeting. • July 21 Meeting, Comprehensive Plan Update Muth reported that the July 21 agenda will include a significant portion of time dedicated to the 2008 Comprehensive Plan Update. Planning staff will be at the meeting to get input on the update from the HPC. • August 18 -CLG Visit/Review Muth reported that Dan Corson from the Colorado Historical Society will be attending the August 18 meeting to review how the Commission handles a public hearing and to review our records. This is a standard process for all Certified Local Governments and must be done to keep our standing as a CLG. • 2008 Annual CLG Report Due August 1 -Need Member Resumes Muth stated that the 2008 CLG report is due August 1 and she needs members' resumes to include in the report. Items from Commission Members -Possible Joint Meeting with Historic Boulder Koertje had no new information on a possible meeting. Adjourn -The meeting adjourned at 9:15 PM.
