3. Improved surface required: A recreational vehicle or trailer <br />parked or stored in a front yard :setback shall be parked on a paved driveway <br />which is intended for parking oi• access to the garage or carport, or on an <br />improved surface adjacent to a pavc;d driveway. <br />4. No encroachment: A recreational vehicle or trailer, including any <br />bumpers, hitch apparatus, racks or any other item thereon, (a) shall not encroach <br />into a public street, sidewalk, or public right-of--way, and (b) shall not be parked <br />or stored within any vision clearance area or any sight-restriction area required to <br />be left open for visibility purposes. <br />5. Apartment buildings: The provisions of this section do not apply <br />to residential lots exclusively used for apartment buildings. <br />6. Maximum permitted length: The maximum length of a <br />recreational vehicle or trailer shall not exceed 32 feet. The maximum length <br />shall be measured inclusive of any bumpers, hitch apparatus, racks or any other <br />item thereon. <br />B. Definitions: For purposes of this section, the following terms, phrases, <br />words and their derivations shall have the following meanings: <br />1. Improved surface means a surface constructed of concrete, asphalt, <br />brick pavers, or gravel at minimum of two (2) inches in depth having positive <br />drainage. <br />2. Motor vehicle has the meaning set out in the Model Traffic Code <br />for Colorado Municipalities as from time to time adopted by ordinance of the city <br />council. <br />3. Recreational vehicle means and includes: (i) a wheeled vehicle, <br />required by the State to have a vehicular registration, built on a chassis that can be <br />towed, hauled or driven and prirr~arily designed to provide temporary living <br />quarter for recreation, vacation and travel use, including, but not limited to, travel <br />trailers, truck campers, tent trailers, pick-up campers, camping trailers, self- <br />propelled motor homes, trailer coaches, mobile homes, buses and camper vans, <br />and all other similar vehicles; and (ii) boats, recreational water craft (such as jet <br />skis), snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, and similar recreational equipment. <br />4. Trailer means any wheeled vehicle without motive power which is <br />designed to be drawn by a motor vehicle, and includes without limitation any <br />trailer, open or enclosed, use for utility, contractor's equipment or the transporting <br />of livestock, recreational equipment or boats. <br />3 <br />
