City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />January 8, 2008 <br />Page 5 of 5 <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Councilor Muckle and Mayor Pro Tem Marsella were supportive of the proposal, <br />but expressed concern that the computer monitors would block their view of the <br />proceedings and could not bE; transported to the Library for Study Sessions. <br />Councilor Sackett voiced concern that the cost of printing Council packets and <br />the cost of home printer repaiirs would become each Council member's burden. <br />Councilor Clabots suggested the City look at what other municipalities are doing. <br />Mayor Sisk stated monitors can be built into the dais and the City could provide <br />paper to the Councilors who wished to print out their packets. He noted the large <br />maps and drawings do not translate well to a smaller screen and hard copies <br />would still have to be made available. Overall, he supported the proposal. <br />Councilor Muckle stressed frE;eing up staff time is the most important component <br />of the electronic packet. <br />There was Council support four moving forward with the proposal <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />City Attorney Light reported the City received a settlement offer in the North <br />Metro Fire District litigation. He also reported on the passing of Lafayette City <br />Attorney Jim Windholz and expressed his condolences. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />None. <br />ADJOURN <br />MOTION: Councilor Muckle moved for adjournment, seconded by Councilor <br />Yarnell.
