City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />February 4, 2008 <br />Page 4 of 8 <br />Assistant City Manager BalsE:r reviewed Resolution No. 6, Series 2008, which <br />adopts the Sustainable Energy Plan for the City of Louisville. She introduced the <br />Boulder County representatives who made the formal presentation. <br />Pam Milmoe, Boulder County Air/Waste Coordinator, presented the Final Draft of <br />the Sustainable Energy Plan, through a PowerPoint presentation. The Boulder <br />County Consortium formed tree Energy Strategy Task Force in April 2006 to <br />provide a countywide clearinghouse for information and education on energy <br />issues and to provide a framE;work for local and regional action on energy <br />sustainability. The presentation included the following information: <br />• The Boulder Greenhouse Gas Emissions profile 1990 -2012 <br />• Boulder County's Emi;>sions by Municipality <br />• Boulder County's Emi:>sions by Sector <br />• The Formation of the E=nergy Strategy Task Force Goals <br />• The Development Process/ Plan Development/Plan Review Process <br />• Plan Overview -Impacts and Solutions, ESTF, GHG Inventory, <br />Recommended Strategies, Emissions reductions, Annual cost Savings <br />$445 million dollars in 2020, 2020 reductions are two times that of the <br />goal set by Governor Ritter. <br />• Analysis Objectives -Overarching Objectives of the work prioritize <br />competing mitigation program strategies <br />• Key Strategies -ClimateSmart at Home (Residential); ClimateSmart at <br />Work (Commercial and Industrial); Climate Smart at Work (Local <br />Government); Climate Smart on the Road (Transportation); ClimateSmart <br />Power; Revenue Streams <br />Ann Livingston, Boulder County sustainability Coordinator outlined the review <br />process: Review by each council and commission; incorporate final comments; <br />develop implementation schedule; assign lead agency and release to public by <br />spring of 2008. Final version will be available for the annual budget process. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Mayor Pro Tem Marsella read into the record an email Council received from <br />Victor Goldberg, who suppori:ed Resolution No. 6, Series 2008. <br />Mark Persichetti, 1402 Taft Place, Louisville, CO, and LRCAB Board members, <br />Bill O'Donnell and Jenny Bra~us, recommended the Council adopt the Sustainable <br />Energy Plan. They also recommended Louisville adopt a Green Point <br />Residential Building Program, increase recycling in the City and provide <br />incentives to residents for goiing green on their own. <br />
