Councilors Sackett, Dalton and Mayor Sisk supported the application. <br />Mayor Sisk closed the public hearing. <br />MOTION: Councilor Yarnell moved to approved Resolution No. 15, Series 2008, <br />seconded by Councilor SackE;tt. All in favor. Absent: Councilor Clabots. <br />ORDINANCE No. 1532, SERIES 2008 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />SECTIONS 8.16.040, 8.20.010, AND 10.20.030 OF THE LOUISVILLE <br />MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING THE REGULATION AND ABATEMENT OF <br />ABANDONED OR INOPERABLE VEHICLES AND DETACHED TRAILERS; <br />AMENDING CERTAIN ;SECTIONS OF TITLE 9 OF THE LOUISVILLE <br />MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING THE OFFENSES OF ASSAULT, <br />HARASSMENT, THROWING THINGS, AND SHOPLIFTING; INCREASING <br />THE JURISDICTIONAL AMOUNT FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY OFFENSES, <br />THEFT AND FRAUD BY CHECK, AND AMENDING SECTION 10.04.020 <br />CONCERNING COMPULSORY INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS -Public <br />Hearing <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City ,Attorney introduction. <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1532, Series 2008 and requested the <br />following second reading amendments: Page 3, second to the last paragraph, <br />Under Harassment -Subsection B. be deleted in its entirety. <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br />City Clerk Varra explained the Prosecuting Attorney monitors the legislative <br />changes to state statutes, which affect police enforcement and the ability of the <br />municipal court to hear certain cases. The Prosecuting Attorney forwarded <br />several legislative changes to the City Attorney for review and possible ordinance <br />revisions. The City Attorney's office worked on code revisions and amendments <br />consistent with the statutes. The Municipal Judge, Prosecuting Attorney, and <br />Police Chief have reviewed the revisions and support the proposed ordinance. <br />
