Mayor Sisk suggested an amendment to Exhibit A, which would reference the agreement, is subject to all terms and conditions of the Cooperation Agreement between the LRC and the Louisville City Council. MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved to approve the agreements by and between EDge Consulting Services, LLC and Citiventure Associates, LLC for Urban Renewal Consulting Services, with an amendment to Exhibit A, being subject to the Cooperation Agreement between the LRC and the City of Louisville. Mayor Pro Tem Marsella seconded the motion. Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by a vote of 7-0. MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved to approve Ordinance No. 1539, Series 2008 on first reading, ordered it published and set a public hearing for September 2, 2008, seconded by Councilor Clabots. All in favor. AUTHORIZATION TO SOLICIT PROPOSALS FOR SINGLE STREAM MANDATORY RECYCLING AND REFUSE COLLECTION Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation and requested the emails received relative to this issue, be made a part of the record. Public Works Director Phare explained the 2008 City Council Goals included a plan for implementing a single stream mandatory recycling and one contract trash hauler. The issue has been discussed at Council Study Sessions and a public meeting was held for comment from City residents. Staff recommended the City solicit proposals for the refuse collection and recycling services in order to identify cost and related factors associated with such a program. The draft Request for Proposals (RFP) includes the following major elements regarding refuse and recyclable collection service: • Refuse will be collected every week and recyclables every other week.
