City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />August 19, 2008 <br />Page 9 of 18 <br />TO AS THE DOWNTOWN LOUISVILLE POST OFFICE SITE LOCATED AT <br />611 AND 637 FRONT STREET, WHICH PROPERTY IS LEGALLY <br />DESCRIBED AS LOTS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 AND 6, BLOCK 4, TOWN OF LOUISVILLE, <br />COUNTY OF BOULDER, STATE OF COLORADO (THE "PROPERTY"), <br />WHICH PROPERTY IS BEING ACQUIRED AS A GENERAL ASSET OF THE <br />CITY AND NOT FOR ANY PARK, OPEN SPACE OR GOVERNMENTAL <br />PURPOSE <br />ORDINANCE No. 1540, SERIES 2008 - AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE <br />PAYMENT OF CITY MONEYS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY <br />LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS LOTS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 AND 6, BLOCK 4, TOWN OF <br />LOUISVILLE -1ST READING -SET PUBLIC HEARING 09/02/2008 <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1540, Series 2008. <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br />Gity Manager Fleming explained the Louisville Municipal Code requires a ten day <br />notice be given to the public prior to the final determination of the City purchasing <br />any real estate. Ordinance No. 1540, Series 2008 authorizes payment for the <br />purchase of the Downtown Post Office site. The closing for the property will be <br />scheduled in November. <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk movecl to approve Ordinance No. 1540, Series 2008, on <br />first reading, ordered it published and set a public hearing for September 2, 2008, <br />seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Marsella. All in favor. Councilor Frost Yarnell was <br />not present for the vote, but returned for the next agenda item. <br />RESOLUTION No. 40, SERIES 2008 - A RESOLUTION CONCERNING A <br />PRELIMINARY SUBDIVISION PLAT AND PRELIMINARY PLANNED UNIT <br />DEVELOPMENT (PUD) PLAN FOR PARBOIS PLACE <br />Councilor Dalton reported on a telephone call he received from Mr. Garrett <br />Mundelein. Mr. Mundelein asked what he could do to receive Council approval <br />of his proposal. Councilor Dalton stated he conferred with City Attorney Light. <br />Councilors Ron Sackett, Muckle, Yarnell, and Clabots also reported being <br />contacted by Mr. Mundelein. Mayor Sisk had discussions with Mr. Mundelein <br />during a "Chat with Chuck" session and Mayor Pro Tem Marsella reported Mr. <br />Mundelein left her a phone message while she was on vacation. <br />City Attorney Light asked if each members of Council could render a fair and <br />impartial decision relative to Mr. Mundelein's proposal. <br />
