Proclamation - U.S. Constitution Week <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br />None. <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br />THE AGENDA <br />Councilor Yarnell reported on the success of the Fall Festival. Mayor Sisk <br />thanked Public Relations Manager Meredyth Muth and Special Events <br />Coordinator Kay Gazaway for the success of the Fall Festival. <br />Mayor Sisk reported the Regional Transportation District (RTD) Board is meeting <br />to discuss FasTracks and the Northwest Corridor. He reviewed a summary of <br />FasTracks Corridor costs from 2004 to 2008. He also reported on a breakfast <br />meeting held on Thursday, August 28th, with three key members of the House of <br />Representatives: Head of the Transportation Committee Congressman James <br />Oberstar and Congressmen Peter GeFazio and Ed Perlmutter. Boulder County <br />representatives and the Mayors along the U.S. 36 Corridor also attended the <br />breakfast meeting to discuss the U.S. 36 Project. <br />City Manager Malcolm Fleming reported the breakfast meeting demonstrated <br />positive examples of well spent federal funding, and how well communities work <br />together. <br />Mayor Sisk reported at the Democratic National Convention several Louisville <br />Police Officers worked in coordination with the Denver Police Department. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />City Manager Malcolm Fleming reported on the success of the Fall Festival. <br />Over 300 people participated in the Coal Creek Crossing 5k, 10 Mile & Kids Fun <br />Run. He thanked Public Relations Manager Muth, Special Events Coordinator <br />Kay Gazaway, all the volunteers and participants. <br />The City's Information Technology Staff, Chris Browning and Mike Monticello <br />have done an exemplary job in keeping the City's network computer system up <br />and running. Mike Monticello tendered his resignation to pursue an opportunity <br />with the University of Colorado. The vacancy presents an opportunity to create <br />a new position for an Information Systems Manager. <br />
