City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 2, 2008 <br />Page 3 of 13 <br />The City will host a Public Involvement Policy Open House on Wednesday, <br />September 3, 2008 at City Hall from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />PRESENTATION -RECOGNITION OF PAST YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD <br />MEMBERS <br />Mayor Sisk and the City Council recognized the following Youth Advisory Board <br />(YAB) members for their service during the 2006-2008 term: Hannah Davinroy, <br />Louisville Middle School (LMS); Ruk~y Dickson, LMS; Phoebe Szeton, Monarch <br />High School and Megan Valentine, I_MS <br />Ms. Valentine; Ms. Davinroy; Ms. Szeton and Ms. Dickson expressed their <br />satisfaction serving on the Youth Advisory Board. <br />Councilor Yarnell noted there is a lot of energy and enthusiasm at the Youth <br />Advisory Board meetings. She thanked Krista Daltonhurst, the Staff liaison. <br />PRESENTATION -LIFE IN LOUISVILLE PHOTO AWARDS <br />Public Relations Manager Muth reported the City received a total of 112 entries <br />from 16 contestants from the Life In Louisville photo contest. The photo jury <br />reviewed all the photos and found them to exemplify what Life in Louisville is all <br />about. Councilor Yarnell presented certificates to the following winners: <br />Grand prize winner: Doug Grinbergs, Horse Drawn Carriage <br />Professional: 1St place -Cameron Weise, Julian's First Haircut <br />Students: 1St~lace -Hannah Lewis, The Marketplace <br />2" place -Anna Bradford, The Louisville Railroad <br />Amateur -Living in Louisville: <br />1St place -Doug Grinbergs, Art Center Concert <br />2"d place -Doug Grinbergs, Biking Home from the Farmer's Market <br />3~d place -Tom Carter, Fun in the Park <br />Amateur -Open Space: <br />1St place -Manisha Pandit, February 2008 -Davidson Mesa <br />2"d place -Manisha Pandit, January 2008 -Harper Lake Morning <br />3~d place -Phyllis Thomas, Warembourg Open Space Views <br />Amateur -Louisville Landmarks: <br />1St place -Tom Carter, A Night Out <br />
