4/19,/84 <br />Page -12- <br />Mayor and Council regretfully accepted his <br />resignation. <br />Mayor Mier Statf~d that Mr. Dick Biella called him about <br />Dick Biella Request the possibility of taking his property out <br />of our planning area, and with Council's <br />approval would ask the City Attorney to <br />look into this then make a report to Council. <br />Councilwoman Johnson Commented that in the past few months we have <br />Meeting with Planning had numerous study sessions meeting with <br />Commission depa:rtment heads and board members and asked <br />if there was a study session being planned <br />with the Planning Commission. She felt such <br />a meeting would be beneficial. <br />Councilman Leary Arrived at the meeting at 9:45 P.M. <br /> Councilmembers generally agreed that it would <br /> be better to get together later when some <br /> of t:he policy issues before them were resolved. <br />~'.ouncilman Cussen Wished to thari}c all members of the Council for <br /> the great amount of time and effort that was <br />.pprciation for the Homart put into negotiating the Homart Agreement. <br />23egotiations There were parts of the Agreement that were <br /> difficult to compromise on but felt that the <br /> end result was a good agreement. He especially <br /> thanked Councilman Leary who put in a lot of <br /> time as a Cou ncilmember in communicating <br /> Council points of view. Lastly thanked Leon <br /> Wurl who represented Council in negotiating <br /> concerns in tough sessesion, and the City <br /> Attorney Curt Rautenstraus. Was thankful <br /> that it was behind us and thanked everyone <br /> for input and patience; also the public for <br /> their patience. <br />Superior Interchange Commented in driving over the Superior Inter- <br /> change he noted that there was nothing but <br /> a 6" curb that separates the pedestrians <br /> from the traffic and expressed concern. <br /> If the plan with the RTD gets funded may wish <br /> to look to an alternate site in the future. <br />Councilman Leary Inquired of Councilman Woodson if he would <br />be i.n attendance at the next council meeting <br />as a member of the audience, or would he be <br />gonE~? Mr. Woodson stated he would be at the <br />next: meeting . <br />
