Wilson stated that he was before Council
Louisville six months ago and it didn't help him very
much. (Read from a letter) Honorable Mayor
Norbert Meier, City Administrator Leon Wurl,
and All City Council Persons, and City Attorney
Curt Rautenstraus. He stated that he would
d_Lspense with any reference to the past
s_tuation as the public is well informed by
the news media as to what has already trans-
pired. At this time he wished to thank the
si~aff writers of the Louisville Times, Boulder
Camera and the Longmont Times Call. All of
them had come to his home and they openly dis-
cussed the situation. This information was
published in editorials in their respective
newspapers - again thanked them for their
support. To the City government officials
he wished to state that we would all have
one thing in common. That is to live our
lives in peace and dignity. There is no be-
ligning fact that we are all headed for the
same goal which can't be changed. He was
c7Loser to his goal than anyone present; how-
ever they would get there sooner than expected -
o7Ld age, taxes and death are parts of our
world. Mr. Wilson stated that he was not
ai=raid to die but the bets were wrong that
hE, would like to postpone this as long as
possible. No one ever came back. When he
does die he wants to go to Hades as he was
well acquainted with this side of life an
earth. He really could not understand why
hE, was not personally consulted by any City
oi=ficial for any information that could have
been helpful in settling this dispute earlier
axed more peaceful. One of his greatest faults
ixz life was speaking the truth instead of
telling even one little white lie. His
policy has been to call a spade a spade and
a shovel a shovel; therefore tell the truth
acid shame the devil. Stated from the time
wE. are born until we ride in the hearse, there
is nothing. so bad that it couldn't get worse.
HE' had served the City of Louisville for 20
yE.ars from 1948 - 1968 it was very difficult.
