3/20/84 Page -4-
fair.
Sandra Sundquist, 561 Lincoln Mrs. Sundquist stated that we have a lot
Louisville of people moving into Louisville and we
have a lot of generation after generation
families that are remaining in Louisville.
Why? Because it is a nice small town to
live in and this happened because of the
dedication and service of people in the
past. People like her father who spent
20 years dedicated service to the City of
Louisville. She felt that Council should
consider this. It was her opinion that
dedication goes from the City to someone
ghat has helped to build this to be a fine
City. Wanted to remind Council of what Edwin
Markham had said - "There is a destiny that
makes us brothers. No one goes this road
alone and what you put into the lives of
others, will come back into your own".
Dorothy E. Hensley Mars. Hensley stated that she felt Louisville
12734 Anhawa, Longmont Was very concerned about conserving its his-
tory; her father was part of that history.
Yet he seems to be rushed down the tubes.
Didn't feel that any of the councilmembers
could begin to exist on $350 a month today.
S:he was of the opinion that if the City of
Louisville was willing to pay out more than
thhat for breakfasts one month, they should
be able to figure out how to pay Mr. Wilson
$350 a month for his pension.
Brenda Saxon, 519 Martin St. Mars. Saxon stated that Mr. Wilson was her
Longmont grandfather whom she has loved for many, many
years; trusted him and her grandmother. Felt
thhat council was being very unfair. To dis-
cover all of the sudden just before Christmas
h.is pension is cut-off saying this is not
Council's responsibility. Mr. Wilson did
not pay into a pension fund; the City did
not have such a thing when he was an officer.
Seems as though everyone is saying - who cares?
M:r. Saxon stated all his family care, he
cares, and all the people that signed the
petition care. A11 the possessions that Mr.
Wilson has are his home, his family and he
ins asking for $350 a month be returned to
h:im that is rightfully his because he served
Louisville for 20 years. Felt it was a crime
to deny Mr. Wilson $350 a month.
