9/4/84
Page -20-
Director Leesman stated that there is nothing
in the City ordinances that states this is
the City's reponsibility. They have been
loaning traps to various residents and it
is their responsibility to get rid of the
skunks.
Director of Community Services Hioco stated
that Boulder County did help us out with
the skunk problem on a weekly basis.
Councilman Leary
Building Permits
Consortium of Cities Meeting
Councilman Cussen
Drainage at Village Square
Shopping Center
Directed his comment to Director of Financial
Services Asti-Caranci and stated v~hen we budgeted
last time and we had projected the number of
building permits to be 375; we didn't take
revenues in'for all building permits that
were cancelled, did we? And the figures
that we're using for the Capital Improvements,
are they the same that we use for the
General Fund, or are those the figures that
are actually under the potential number of
building permits that we projected for the
1984 budget: She replied 375 building per-
mits were'projected for-revenue for both
the Capital Improvement Fund and General
Fund..
Councilman Leary advised the Consortium
of Cities is meeting here tomorrow night
and everyone is welcome to attend. Each
time the host City is to give some kind
of short presentation and he felt it would
be good to present our open space and parks
trail plan. He would show this._
Wished to thank staff in their efforts in
helping to eliminate the problem of the
used car lot on South Boulder Road. He
appreciated this very much.
Councilman Cussen stated that sometime ago
he requested that the new owner of the
Village Square Shopping Center do something
about the drainage - with winter coming
it. slowly drains and there is ice build-up
which presents a traffic hazard. To date
this has not been corrected and he couldn't
understand why this periodically could not
be cleaned out. If this creates a problem
then he suggested that the drainage pipe
be resized. Mr. Cussen directed staff to
notify them that we would like to see that
done soon.
