COUNCIL COMMENTS & COMMITTEE REPORTS Councilwoman Morris Inquired what the status was on the open Open Space - Lafayette space agreement with Lafayette. Acting City Administrator Rupp stated the last time he spoke with Mike Acimovic on this, they were reviewing the agreement they received from Boulder County; they were going to make some changes on it; provide us a copy; and then there would be a meeting. But he hadn't heard anything beyond this. Mr. Rupp will check with Mr. Acimovic on this. Councilman Fauson Wished to thank Director Asti-Carnci for the financial analysis she had provided Council this evening. Realized that she had worked very hard on this as well as working on the 1985 budget for the City. Mayor Meier Commented that he felt that the Labor Day activities were very good this year. There were a lot of inventive ideas producing a lot of contracting - ~ activities going throughout the 4 day celebration. Requested that the Clerk prepare some letters to the LDC and the Chamber of Commerce as well as the various organizations that participated in planning the events and the American Legion for the parade, thanking them. He also personally thanked all the people who participated in all the contests, the merchants that sponsored the events, and those who contributed prizes for the events. He again expressed his appreciation and hoped that they would be continued in future years. Councilwoman Johnson Commented she would like to address the property on Front St. known as the old mill or Thomas property. It seems that there have been problems in the years past and this year concerning the skunk problem. She requested that staff contact the Thomases or owners of the property to see what their plans are for the future use of the building whether it will be renovated, torn down, etc. This is/annoying problem for the residents i:n the area.
