Isherwood Construction for Recreation/Senior <br />Center Customer Service/Registration/Administrative Remodel <br />Award Bid to Arapahoe Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc. for Roof <br />Replacement on North Water Treatment Plant <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Council member Brown commented on the success of the Fourth of July celebration. <br />Mayor Sisk thanked the Resource Conservation Board for their recycling efforts at the <br />Fourth of July event. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION - LOUISVILLE PIRATES BASEBALL TEAM <br /> WORLD SERIES FUNDING REQUEST <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> <br />City Manager Bill Simmons reported the 11 & Under Louisville Pirates Junior Baseball <br />team qualified for the Triple Crown World Series tournament to be held in Steamboat <br />Springs July 26 - August 1, 2004. The team is looking for sponsors to help offset some <br />of the costs associated with participating in the event. In 2002, the team qualified for the <br />Triple Crown World Series tournament held in Colorado Springs and the City contributed <br />$500 toward expenses for the event. In 2001, the team qualified for the Triple Crown <br />World Series tournament held in St. Louis, Missouri, and the City contributed $1,000 <br />toward expenses for the event. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested public comment. <br /> <br />Steve Costello, 902 Grove Drive, Louisville, CO voiced his opposition to the Louisville <br />Pirates Junior Baseball team's request.
