City Council <br />Study Session Summary <br />September 26, 2017 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />There was both concern about and support for getting a more widely known act <br />and a larger crowd. There was general support for expanding to nine nights. <br />A license agreement will come before City Council in the future for consideration <br />of any possible changes to the current set up. <br />Members discussed recommended submitting a capital improvement request for <br />the tent replacement. <br />Update — 2017 Special Events <br />Staff presented a review of events permitted in 2017 and noted numbers of <br />events are pretty similar to 2016. <br />Councilmembers discussed the number of events, complaints, possible process <br />changes, and how permit conditions are enforced. Members had no changes to <br />suggest to the permitting process. <br />Discussion — Food Truck Ordinance Update <br />Staff is recommending a cleanup of the ordinance, clarifying the language, <br />adding additional locations for food trucks particularly the Recreation Center, and <br />how addresses pertains to special events. <br />Members provided comments on aspects of updating the code.
