Social equity and access for aging, disabled and low-income populations <br />Sustainability and environmental impacts <br />- Costs and cost-effectiveness of proposed solutions <br />- Innovative transportation technology and future trends in technology <br />I. Connect and incorporate existing City and regional planning efforts <br />Key elements: <br />Review of City's current transportation documents and plans including the <br />Comprehensive Plan, South Boulder Road Small Area Plan, McCaslin Boulevard <br />Small Area Plan, Highway 42 Gateway Alternative Analysis, Downtown Parking <br />and Pedestrian Action Plan, City of Louisville Sustainability Plan, and Five Year <br />Capital Improvement Plan and make updates to the policies and projects <br />contained within these plans to align with the Transportation Master Plan. <br />Review other regional transportation -related plans. Plans including but not <br />limited to DRCOG Metro Vision 2040 Regional Transportation Plan, North Area <br />Mobility Study (NAMS), US36 First and Final Mile Study, etc. <br />Incorporate these and other local transportation -related plans and understand <br />their influence on local transportation, land use and planning, travel choices, <br />demand, demographics, development trends and other regional influences on <br />the local transportation system. <br />Determine appropriate inclusion of project priorities from local transportation <br />and road plans into the TMP. <br />II. Understand community context and vision, facilitate public and stakeholder <br />engagement, establish community goals. <br />Key elements: <br />Conduct community visioning process to understand local interests and <br />influences and help the community set goals and objectives for the plan. <br />Facilitate community learning and listening sessions, and garner support of <br />Council, community leaders and public through all steps of planning process. <br />Consider transportation needs in the context of broader community character <br />and community planning. <br />Incorporate the City's program -based indicators, and update them as needed to <br />align with the TMP. <br />Include input from regional partners and stakeholders including CDOT, RTD, <br />Boulder County, Boulder Valley School District, and other entities. <br />Facilitate priority setting of transportation improvements with Council, <br />community leaders and the public. <br />Coordinate public messaging and public process with any other current planning <br />efforts. <br />20 <br />
