Louisville Recreation / Senior Center Expansion <br />City of Louisville <br />Amendment 2 <br />temporary heat, natural gas and/or propane, concrete blankets, temporary dry -in of the roof, <br />tenting of masonry/fireproofing, snow/mud removal, and pump & bail, etc. <br />17. Excepting damages caused by the negligence of Contractor, the Owner hereby agrees to accept <br />responsibility for any damage to the Storm Water best management practices (BMP) <br />improvements including: silt fence, inlet protection, grading and seeding after Saunders <br />Construction reaches Substantial Completion on the project. The Owner acknowledges that the <br />Builder's Risk Insurance coverage will cease upon Saunders Construction reaching Substantial <br />Completion and it will become the Owner's responsibility to provide insurance for any potential <br />damage to BMPs. <br />18. The Owner agrees to be responsible for applying for utility installations and for clarifying and <br />modifying the Construction Documents as required by all approving authorities. Saunders <br />Construction agrees to apply for all building permits and to aid the Owner in coordinating with the <br />building department and other governmental approving authorities for the release of all <br />construction permits. Saunders Construction also agrees to aid the Owner in coordinating with <br />the public utility companies for the timely installation of all utility installations. Saunders <br />Construction will not be responsible for any delays caused by the Owner or his agents nor by the <br />approving authorities or public utility companies. The completion date of the Work is subject to <br />release of all permits and the installation of all public utilities so as not to delay the progress of <br />construction. <br />19. Demo pricing included with the GMP estimate is based upon realization of the salvage value of <br />observed materials as they exist within the building upon presentation of this GMP, and that all <br />items to become salvaged to/by the Owner are identified on the project Documents. Unless <br />otherwise noted on the documents, all salvaged material becomes the property of the demolition <br />contractor upon award of the work. <br />20. Carpet, sheet vinyl, and VCT floor coverings at slab -on -grade and slab -on -deck areas cannot be <br />warranted if moisture vapor tests on the concrete slab exceed manufacturer's allowable limit. If <br />Owner schedule requirements dictate, it may be necessary to proceed with the installation of <br />these floor systems. The risks inherent with this installation will be discussed with the Owner prior <br />to installation. <br />21. No premium is included for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) building <br />standards. <br />22. No costs have been included to construct temporary offices, meeting rooms, daycare rooms, <br />exercise area, etc. within the existing recreation center for relocation of Louisville staff or <br />programs. <br />23. It is assumed that all existing HVAC ductwork and equipment shown to remain are in good <br />working order without need for repair or adjustment. No duct cleaning is included for existing <br />systems. <br />24. Soil amendment for planting areas includes 6 CY per 1,00 SF based off of specification section <br />329113 Fine Grading and Soil Preparation section 2.1, A, 1. <br />25. Repair of existing landscape by T&M or change order. <br />26. The City of Louisville will provide required quantity, cleaned and delivered to the site, of "historic <br />water treatment plant brick" for mason to install at Memory Square site wall. <br />27. Includes a two year special warranty for section 076200 Sheet Metal Flashing and Trim. A five <br />year warranty is not available. <br />28. Includes roofing manufacturers standard walk pads.
