The Board meets the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm. Terms are four years. You must be a resident of Louisville to apply. Briefly explain your interest in applying for the Sustainability Board. (please limit to 400 words) After moving to Louisville I was very happy to learn the city really takes sustainabliity seriously. The city has made a great effort to touch all aspects of sustainability and has done a lot of hard work to get where we are today. I feel sustainability will become a very large environmental issue in our near future. I hope to bring my expertise and experience I have gained at my job over the last 10 years to help shape Louisville's sustainable future. Over the last ten years in the envirornmental packaging industry I have learned a good deal about the recycling and composting industry. I was very surprised to learn that Colorado as a whole has a one of the lowest recycling rates in the country at just above 23%. I would hope we can help other communites in changing the way they look at trash and recycling. I am also pretty passionante about the solar industry and what the future holds for renewable energy. I feel we all have a role top play in our future for the next generation and I want to be sure to do my part. 14
