2018 Sustainability Advisory Board Questionnaire
Page 2of5
LCity
Louisville
COLORADO- SINCE 187L
2. What does sustainability mean to you and what do you think should be the
top three priorities for the Board? (please limit to 300 words)
I think Sustainability is crucial to our living a long life without continuing to pollute the earth. Sustainability
will become very important as we continue to use up non-renewable resources.
The top three priorities for Louisville are:
Water conservation - We will continue to have a limited supply of fresh water. As our population grows we
will continue to have large challenges with our resources, especially water. We need to continue to look into
commercial and residential solutions to using less water.
Converting more energy to renewable energy both commercially and residentially. The cost of solar
continues to come down and the oppertunity for solar in new construction is very important. We need to
have a % of all new construction both commercial and residential be powered by renewable resources.
Commercial recycling, composting and landfill usage. We need to continue to support businesses to divert
as much from the landfills as possible. I believe education and resources are available to each citizen and
small business owner. I think the residential population are doing a good job but better education can
always lead to improvements.
15
