Louisville City Council Meeting <br />October 19, 2004 <br />Page 6 of 15 <br /> <br />Laurel Beauprez, 224 Roosevelt Avenue, Louisville, CO voiced her support for the street <br />right-of-way vacation. <br /> <br />Jean Morgan, 1131 Spruce Street, Louisville, CO, stated the residents of Louisville <br />should be able to access the Community Park from Front and Main Street. <br /> <br />Denise Ehrmann, 221 Front Street, Louisville, CO stated that in 1954, the City told her <br />family the right-of-way property belonged to them. She voiced her belief the property <br />belongs to her family. She commented they were not invited to participate in the <br />discussion to arrive at a compromise, but merely informed of their options. She voiced <br />her disappointment with the process. <br /> <br />Ed Helmstead, 1000 Rex Street, Louisville, CO stated that he had measured the distance <br />from Front Street to County Road, and noted it was 83 paces. He stated County Road. <br />Access to the park can be accessed through County Road. <br /> <br />Phil Erhmann, 221 Front Street, Louisville, CO stated the intent of the City Council fifty <br />years ago was to vacate the Front Street right-of-way. He voiced his belief the present <br />Council shOuld continue with that intent and vacate the Front Street right-of-way. <br /> <br />Sage Maurer, 948 Parkview Avenue, Louisville, CO voiced her opinion that Option #2, <br />as presented by Paul Wood, was a very reasonable compromise, and it is unfortunate that <br />the family rejected it. She stated her belief the right-of-way should be maintained. <br /> <br />Barbara Hesson, 526 LaFarge Avenue, Louisville, CO voiced her desire that both Main <br />and Front Streets be open to access the Community Park. She presented two letters; one <br />from Bret Holton, 507 Front Street, and the second from Margaret Henneke, 401 County <br />Road. Both Holton and Henneke also voiced their support of public access to the <br />Community Park through Front and Main Street. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk read an email from Sam and Sunny Sells, who supported the vacation of the <br />Front Street right-of-way. <br /> <br />Tom Rafferty, 945 Rex Street, Louisville, CO voiced his support of a compromise, which <br />would allow public access to the Community Park. He presented a survey and a sketch <br />of fifteen homes on Front Street. The results of his survey are as follows: 9 home <br />owners agree the right-of-way should be open, 1 disagreed, 1 was undecided and 5 were <br />not contacted. He presented the sketch plan to the Mayor and City Council. <br /> <br />Don France, 1000 Parkview Street, Louisville, CO voiced his sadness with the <br />neighborhood dispute over the Front Street right-of-way. He stated his family is very <br />excited about the new Community Park, but he has concerns about traffic.
