He presented a status report on pending litigations, <br />recent activity and related information associated with the City's water resources. He <br />reviewed six applications in the water court the City is opposing. He outlined the <br />benefits of membership in the Windy Gap Firming Project and the Northern Colorado <br />Water Conservancy District. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk and Council member Brown thanked Hill for updating Council on the City's <br />water resources. <br /> <br />THREE-YEAR UPDATE - OPERATIONS OF BOULDER COUNTY <br />RECYCLING CENTER- PRESENTATION BY JEFF CALLAHAN, DIRECTOR, <br />BOULDER COUNTY RESOURCE CONSERVATION CENTER <br /> <br />Jeff Callahan, Director of the Boulder County Resource Conservation Center updated <br />Council on the operations of the Boulder County Recycling Center. He reviewed the <br />history of the Boulder County Recycling Center, funding revenues, total revenue derived <br />from material sales; how the revenue is distributed; the tons of recyclables processed; the <br />amount of material distribution; and the percent of distribution of sales. <br /> <br />Council member Clabots noted there is one hauler that takes recycled material out of the <br />County. Callahan explained the hauler has contracted with a company in Denver. There <br />was Council discussion relative to returning the recyclables to Boulder County. <br /> <br />City Manager Bill Simmons noted the Cities of Louisville and Lafayette maintain a small <br />recycle center in Louisville. He stated eventually the site would have to be relocated and <br />enlarged. In that event, he asked Callahan to recommend a funding source. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
