Louisville City Council Meeting <br />November 16, 2004 <br />Page 8 of 8 <br /> <br />City Manager Simmons announced the following scheduled meetings: · Wednesday, November 17, 2004 - Library Steering Committee meeting <br /> · Wednesday, November 17, 2004 - Meeting with real estate broker on the sale of <br /> the Library <br /> · Thursday, November 18, 2004 - Comprehensive Plan meeting at the Recreation <br /> Center <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Council member Clabots reported on the leaf recycling program and explained the <br />program continues through November 27, 2004. <br /> <br />Council member Keany reported the Youth Advisory Board will conduct a work session <br />at the Recreation Center on Thursday, November 18, 2004. He asked Mayor Sisk to <br />appoint an alternate liaison to the Youth Advisory Board. <br /> <br />Council member Brown discussed the possibility of creating various foundations in the <br />City, i.e., Recreation Foundation, Arts Foundation, and Open Space Foundation. He <br />reported the downtown business owners are concerned about the 29' building height rule. <br />He suggested that Council schedule a hearing to meet with the downtown business <br />owners to discuss this issue. <br /> <br />City Manager Simmons stated Staff will provide background information and criteria to <br />the Council relative to the guidelines on the height of buildings in the downtown area. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk reported the Planning Commission reviewed the Historic Preservation <br />Commission ordinance. He noted there is a decorum standard for all public bodies that is <br />expected by the Mayor and City Council. He informed Council of a scheduled meeting of <br />EIS/Highway 36, Wednesday, November 17th, at 10:00 a.m. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br /> MOTION: <br /> Council member Brown.
